Rallied together by Lukas, a Black Market Dealer hailing from outside the city, the resistance of City Eight embarks on a journey to the outlands to recover resources and crucial information from a nearby resistance outpost.
This event will take place on the main server and last for about 1 to 2 hours in total. It will begin with the opportunity for exploration and passive roleplay and end in a climactic action sequence.
For the duration of the event, Permanent Kill rules will not apply to resistance characters. Instead, resistance characters who die in combat will be rescued from the brink of death and brought back to the city, losing a good amount of their goods in the process in exchange for living another day. The Event Team may override this rule of course, if seen fit.
Typical Permanent Kill rules will apply to members playing in the Combine faction. Combine players who die early in the event will be given the opportunity to respawn as headcrabs to harass the resistance as they travel through the land or as a bird if they simply prefer to soar around and explore or spectate.
For the duration of the event, the server will be restritect to players who are participating in the event. If you are not currently whitelisted for Lancer, you can fill out the whitelist application in your event application. Players playing as members of the resistance can either use pre-existing characters from City Eight or create a new one that can be brought back to the city after the event is over.
